Dear Valued Vendors,
We hope this message finds you well and thriving at our weekly Los Feliz Flea. As always, we deeply appreciate your dedication and contributions to making our market a vibrant and unique experience for all.
However, we need to address a matter of utmost importance regarding fire safety regulations and market policies on the rooftop. Please read carefully as these policies are non-negotiable:
1. No Seating or Congregating in the Aisles on the Rooftop
This is a strict fire department regulation that we are obligated to enforce for everyone’s safety. Additionally:
- All vendors must remain within the boundaries of their booths at all times.
- Sitting under umbrellas or outside your booth is strictly prohibited.
Ensuring clear and accessible aisles is non-negotiable. This policy exists to protect everyone in case of an emergency, and compliance is mandatory.
2. Nothing is Allowed on the Rooftop Ledge
For safety and the integrity of the market:
- No merchandise, drinks, or any other items are allowed to be placed on the rooftop ledge. This is a vital precaution to prevent accidents and maintain a safe environment for all.
3. No Music in Booths
We take pride in curating a unique and enjoyable atmosphere for the market. To maintain this experience:
- Vendors are not permitted to play music in their booths.
- We provide a carefully curated selection of music to ensure the integrity and vibe of the market.
4. Tent Weights are Mandatory
Each week, we face unnecessary risks due to gusts of wind causing unsecured tents to fly over the roof. This is extremely dangerous for everyone.
- You must have your tent weights properly secured when you set up.
- Tent weights are not optional or something to add later—they are required immediately upon setup.
Consequences for Non-Compliance
To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone:
- Vendors found violating these policies will face immediate deactivation for 90 days.
We cannot stress enough how serious these matters are. We kindly ask for your full cooperation moving forward. Let’s work together to maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming space for all vendors, shoppers, and staff.
Thank you for your understanding and compliance. If you have any questions or concerns about these policies, feel free to reach out to our team.
Warm regards,
Phillip Dane
